يَقول ابن باريز منتسبا لها

وَله الحق باريز لي

وَله الحق باريز لي

The son of Paris says, declaring his belonging to it,

Ibn Barizz claims it as his own

and he has the right: “Paris is mine.”

And he has the right, Paris is mine

وَينشد في القوم انشودة ال

وَينشد في القوم انشودة ال

اماني وَعنوانها الكون لي

اماني وَعنوانها الكون لي

And among the people he sings the song of

He recites among the people an ode

wishes, and its title is “The universe is mine.”

Of hopes, its title is The World is Mine

فكن لمراميه مُستَيقِظاً

فكن لمراميه مُستَيقِظاً

وقل ما ابن تونس تونس لي

وقل ما ابن تونس تونس لي

So be alert to his aims,

So be wakeful of his ambitions

and say: “What of the son of Tunis? Tunis is mine.”

And say, the son of Tunis is Tunis’ shine
