My Eid abides, while everyone else’s Eid passes away;
My feast endures, while the people's feast passes away.
and my heart turns away from pleasures.
And the heart within me turns away from pleasures.

I have two companions for whom I have no substitute:
And I have two companions, with none to replace them:
the long duration of scalding heat, and an eye whose tears drip.
Prolonged burning heat, and an eye whose tears drip.
