1. كلم هي الأمثال إلا أنها

    في الناس قد اضحت بلا أمثالِ

    Words that are proverbs, except that they

    have become without equals among people.

  2. فإذا لُقينَ فإنهن عوالي

    وإذ شممن فإنهن غوالي

    So when encountered, they are long spears;

    and when smelled, they are precious perfumes.
