Welcome to a sun of wine from a moon's two hands!

Beauty has reached perfection in him, so he is haughty.

As though his wine, when he rose to mix it,

Had been pressed from his cheek or from his front teeth.

When his palm serves you, of blended wine,

A cup, his eyes serve you cups of wine unmixed.

In his face is every fragrant flower that delights

Our hearts and eyes, and that they love.

His eyes are fresh narcissi, and his forelock

Is violets; his cheeks are gathered roses.
