فانهاfor they are أشهاmore delightful علىto قلبيmy heart منthan العافيهgood health
فانها أشها على قلبي من العافيه
أيامdays كناwe used to نسامرconverse by night ربّmany a منof غانيهbeautiful woman
أيام كنا نسامر ربّ من غانيه
For they are more delightful to my heart than good health:
days when we would converse by night with many a beauty,
مورّداتrosy الخدودthe cheeks الكملthe flawless ones الباهيهthe radiant ones
مورّدات الخدود الكمل الباهيه
رعىmay cherish اللَهGod أوقاتtimes تلكthose الأعينthe eyes الساجيهthe languid ones
رعى اللَه أوقات تلك الأعين الساجيه
rosy-cheeked, flawless, radiant.
May God cherish the times of those languid eyes.
رعىmay cherish اللَهGod أوقاتtimes رباتwearers of الحلىthe jewels الغاليهthe precious
رعى اللَه أوقات ربات الحلى الغاليه
ياللَهO God لناfor us فيin حماهمtheir sanctuary عودةa return ثانيهa second
ياللَه لنا في حماهم عودة ثانيه
May God cherish the times of the women wearing precious jewels.
O God, let us return once more to their sanctuary.
ماnot يقطعcuts off اللَهGod لناfor us منany رحمةmercy شافيهhealing
ما يقطع اللَه لنا من رحمة شافيه
فانهfor He is القادرthe All-Powerful المحيthe reviver جثثcorpses فانيهperishing
فانه القادر المحي جثث فانيه
God will not withhold any healing mercy from us,
for He is the All-Powerful, who restores life to mortal remains.
