    Welcome to you, and welcome!

    O dwellers of Arhab,

    Rather, dwellers in my heart.

    You have drawn near, and I am nearer

    To you, and more enraptured

    In pure affection.

    So many are God's breaths of grace,

    And so many hours in a lifetime,

    And so many sudden opportunities in time,

    Bringing everything one seeks,

    Of gain and things desired,

    And the wish and my desire.

    نسر به ونطرب

    Every draught has become sweet;

    We rejoice in it and are enraptured.

    Union with him—my stubborn insistence.

    Nearness measured by distance

    Inevitably has a flaw.

    Closeness is the closeness of souls.

    والجزم للكثافه

    And the inner secret belongs to subtlety,

    And resolve belongs to density;

    Outward forms count for nothing.

    When the intention is truly sound,

    Then in it lies the ultimate fulfillment of one's quest,

    Even if no sight is attained.

    ما للنبي أصحب

    Uways is a saint of the Lord;

    He never kept company with the Prophet,

    Nor did separation distance him

    From the favored Prophet.

    Rather, he spoke of him at length:

    He will intercede at the Resurrection.

    Many a man whose home was near

    Gained nothing from his visit,

    لما كثر ضراره

    Like Ibn Ubayy and others besides him;

    When the harm he caused increased,

    بل استدام كفره

    His proximity brought him no benefit;

    Rather, he persisted in his unbelief.

    So the deeds of hearts are swifter

    Toward approval, and more beneficial,

    And they encompass good deeds more fully.

    This is true and tested.

    تسود في العباد

    Musa, draw near to us;

    You will be preeminent among the servants.

    My lineage is the finest lineage,

    To the refined Prophet,

    A peerless one from Su'ad.
