1. بروق الحما أبرقي يا بروق

    عسى اللَه يسقي بك المجدبين

    Lightning of the sanctuary, flash, O lightning!

    May God water through you those stricken by drought.

  2. عسى أغصاننا الذاويه تنتعش

    وتثمر مع جملة المثمرين

    May our withered branches revive,

    And bear fruit with all who bear fruit.

  3. إذا لم تجد يا وسيع العطا

    فمن ذا لأهل الخطا المذنبين

    If You do not give generously, O You of boundless bounty,

    Then who is there for the erring and sinful?

  4. فلا مانع لك على ما تشا

    في الكون يا أقدر القادرين

    For none can hinder You in what You will,

    In the universe, O most powerful of the powerful.

  5. فلي قلب حائر قليل الهدى

    فبصره يا هادي الحائرين

    For I have a bewildered heart, with little guidance;

    So enlighten it, O Guide of the bewildered.

  6. إذا فاز أهل التقى بالعلا

    وبالفوز يا حسرة المبطلين

    When the pious win high rank,

    And triumph—oh, the regret of those who follow falsehood!

  7. إذا صفت أقدامهم في الدجا

    وطابت مناجاة أهل اليقين

    When their feet stand in rows in the darkness,

    And sweet is the intimate prayer of those certain in faith,

  8. وطاب المنام لأهل السقام

    في الليل يا حسرة الغافلين

    And sleep is sweet to the sick,

    In the night—oh, the regret of the heedless!

  9. أيا قلبي السوء أما ترعوى

    وكم تعصى اللَه في العاصيين

    O my wicked heart, will you not mend your ways?

    And how often you disobey God among the disobedient!

  10. فلا يغررك قول من قال فيك

    ولا ينفعك كثرة المادحين

    So let not what anyone says of you deceive you,

    Nor will the multitude of those who praise you benefit you.

  11. وسيلتي يا ربّ بالمصطفى

    شفيع الورى سيد المرسلين

    My means of approach, O Lord, is through the Chosen One,

    The intercessor for creation, master of the messengers,

  12. وبالأنبياء وأصحابهم

    مع آلهم ثم بالتابعين

    And through the prophets and their companions,

    Together with their families, then through the followers,

  13. وبأسمائك اللَه يا خالقي

    وبالصحف ثم الكتاب المبين

    And through Your names, O God, my Creator,

    And through the scriptures, then the clear Book,

  14. وبأملاكك اللَه يا رازقي

    توسلت يا بغية الآملين

    And through Your angels, O God, my Provider,

    I have sought nearness, O goal of those who hope.

  15. وبالأولياء وأسرارهم

    وبأهل الشريعة وأهل اليقين

    And through the saints and their mysteries,

    And through the people of sacred law and those certain in faith,

  16. تفضل بغفران كلّ الذنوب

    نكون جميعاً من الفائزين

    Graciously forgive all sins,

    So that we may all be among the triumphant.

  17. وجد بالرضا وجزل العطا

    واشمل به جملة الحاضرين

    And generously grant Your favor and abundant bounty,

    And extend it to all those present.

  18. وطوّل لنا عمر سلطاننا

    واحرسه من أعين الحاسدين

    And prolong for us the life of our sultan,

    And guard him from the eyes of the envious.

  19. وكن حافظاً له وكن حارساً

    وكن ناصراً له وكن له معين

    And be his protector, and be his guardian,

    And be his supporter, and be his helper.

  20. وعامله باللطف في أحواله

    مع حسن دنيا وإكمال دين

    And deal with him gently in his circumstances,

    With worldly well-being and perfection in religion.

  21. وأصلحه يا ربّ في أفعاله

    وأصلح بأفعاله المسلمين

    And set him right, O Lord, in his deeds,

    And set the Muslims right through his deeds.

  22. فأنت الرؤوف الكريم الرحيم

    ولا يضجرك كثرة السائلين

    For You are the Compassionate, the Generous, the Merciful,

    Nor does the multitude of supplicants vex You.

  23. خزائنك بالجود لا تنتهي

    لكثرة عطاياك للراغبين

    Your treasuries are not exhausted by generous giving,

    By the abundance of Your gifts to those who seek.

  24. وصلواتك اللَه ياذا العلا

    على المصطفى كل وقت وحين

    And may Your blessings, O God, O Possessor of glory,

    Be upon the Chosen One at every time and moment.
