1. بسم اللَه مولانا ابتدينا

    ونحمده على نعماه فينا

    In the name of God, our Lord, we began.

    And we praise Him for His bounty among us.

  2. توسلنا به في كلّ أمر

    غياث الخلق ربّ العالمينا

    We sought nearness through Him in every matter,

    The succor of creation, Lord of the worlds.

  3. وبالأسماء ما وردت بنص

    وما في الغيب مخزونا مصونا

    And through the Names mentioned in scripture,

    And those stored away and safeguarded in the unseen;

  4. بكلّ كتاب أنزله تعالى

    وقرآن شفا للمؤمنينا

    Through every book that He, the Exalted, sent down,

    And the Qur’an, a healing for the believers.

  5. بكلّ طوائف الأملاك ندعو

    بما في غيب ربي أجمعينا

    Through all the hosts of angels we pray,

    Through all that is in my Lord’s unseen realm.

  6. وبالهادي توسلنا ولذنا

    وكلّ الأنبيا والمرسلينا

    And through the Guide we sought nearness and took refuge,

    And through all the prophets and messengers,

  7. وآلهم مع الأصحاب جمعا

    توسلنا وكلّ التابعينا

    And their families, together with all the Companions;

    We sought nearness, and through all the Successors.

  8. وبالعلما بأمر اللَه طرّا

    وكلّ الأوليا والصالحينا

    And through all the scholars versed in God’s command,

    And through all the saints and the righteous.

  9. وخصّ به الإمام القطب حقا

    وجيه الدّين تاج العارفينا

    And single out in this the Imam, truly the Pole,

    Wajih al-Din, crown of those who know God.

  10. رقى في رتبة التمكين مرقا

    وقد جمع الشريعة واليقينا

    He rose to a height in the station of spiritual steadfastness,

    And he indeed united the sacred law and certainty.

  11. وذكر العيدروس القطب أحلا

    عن القلب الصدى للصادقينا

    And remembrance of al-‘Aydarus, the Pole, cleared away

    The rust from the heart for the sincere.

  12. عفيف الدين محيي الدين حقا

    له تحكيمنا وبه اقتدينا

    ‘Afif al-Din, truly Muhyi al-Din,

    To him we entrust judgment, and we followed his example.

  13. ولا تنس كما الدين سعدا

    عظيم الحال تاج العابدينا

    And do not forget Kama[l] al-Din Sa‘d,

    Great in spiritual state, crown of the worshippers.

  14. بهم ندعو إلى المولى تعالى

    بغفران يعمّ الحاضرينا

    Through them we pray to the Lord, the Exalted,

    For forgiveness embracing all those present,

  15. ولطف شامل ودوام ستر

    وغفران لكلّ المذنبينا

    And all-embracing kindness and an enduring veil,

    And forgiveness for all sinners.

  16. ونختمها بتحصين عظيم

    بحول اللَه لا يقدر علينا

    And we conclude it with mighty protection:

    Through God’s might, no one can overpower us.

  17. وستر اللَه مسبول علينا

    وعين اللَه ناظرة إلينا

    And God’s veil is spread over us,

    And God’s eye looks upon us.

  18. ونختم بالصلاة على محمد

    إمام الكلّ خير الشافعينا

    And we conclude with blessings upon Muhammad,

    Leader of all, the best of intercessors.
