شَرُفَت بك العلياءُ يا شرف العُلا

شَرُفَت بك العلياءُ يا شرف العُلا

لمَّا علوتَ بها جميعَ العالَمِ

Through you the heights were ennobled, O honor of the heights,

Exalted rank gained honor through you, O honor of the heights,

when through them you rose above the whole world.

والكاملُ الملكُ ارتضاكَ لعَزمةٍ

والكاملُ الملكُ ارتضاكَ لعَزمةٍ

اغنتهُ عن سُمرٍ وبثيضٍ صَوَارِمِ

The consummate king chose you to carry out his resolve;

And al-Kamil, the king, chose you for a firm resolve

that spared him dark lances and gleaming, sharp-edged swords.

فاحرس برأيك مَجدَ دولته الذي

فاحرس برأيك مَجدَ دولته الذي

مُذ شدتهُ لا يستطاعُ لهادِمِ

So guard, with your counsel, the glory of his realm, whose

واجمَع به شَملَ الفخارَ فإِنما

بمحمَّدٍ كَمُلَ الفَخَارُ لهاشِمِ

Through him unite the scattered glories, for only

And through it unite glory's scattered parts, for only

through Muhammad was the glory of Hashim made complete.

through Muhammad was glory perfected for Hashim.
