لقد شاد مُلكاً أسَّسته جُدودُهُ

لقد شاد مُلكاً أسَّسته جُدودُهُ

فأصبح ذا ملك أثيلٍ مُشَيَّد

فأصبح ذا ملك أثيلٍ مُشَيَّد

He indeed built up a kingdom his forefathers had founded,

He built a kingdom founded by his ancestors,

and became lord of a deep-rooted, lofty realm.

So it became a strong and firm kingdom.

وصحَّ به الإسلامُ حتى لقد غَدَت

وصحَّ به الإسلامُ حتى لقد غَدَت

بسلطانهِ أهلُ الحقائق تَقتدي

بسلطانهِ أهلُ الحقائق تَقتدي

And through him Islam grew strong, so much so that

Islam was strengthened by it, so that

the people of truth came to follow his authority.

The people of truth followed his authority.

فقل للذي قد شكَّ في الحقَّ إنما

فقل للذي قد شكَّ في الحقَّ إنما

أطعنا أبا بكرٍ بأمرِ محمد

أطعنا أبا بكرٍ بأمرِ محمد

So tell whoever has doubted the truth: we only

Say to him who doubted the truth that

obeyed Abu Bakr at Muhammad’s command.

We obeyed Abu Bakr by the order of Muhammad.
