للّه في النارِ التي وقَعَت به

سرٌّ عن العقلاء لا تُخفيه

سرٌّ عن العقلاء لا تُخفيه

God has, in the fire that befell it,

There is in the fire that has befallen it

a secret the fire does not conceal from the wise:

A secret from the rational ones, do not hide it

أن ليسَ يَبقى في فناهُ بقيةٌ

أن ليسَ يَبقى في فناهُ بقيةٌ

مما بَنَتهُ بنو أمَيَّةَ فيهِ

مما بَنَتهُ بنو أمَيَّةَ فيهِ

that no remnant remains in its courtyard

That there remains in its demise no trace

of what the sons of Umayya built within it.
