I ask You, O God: hasten to grant my request,

By those among them counted under the letter Bāʾ, for the fulfillment of hopes.

سألنا ببشر مع بشير بسبر

سألنا ببشر مع بشير بسبر

كذاك بلال مولاه صديق صحبنا

كذاك بلال مولاه صديق صحبنا

We ask through Bishr, together with Bashir, with scrutiny;

Likewise Bilal, whose master is the Truthful One among our companions;

كذاك بحير ثم بحاث يا إلهي

كذاك بحير ثم بحاث يا إلهي

كن لضعيف كاد يبلى من الغنا

كن لضعيف كاد يبلى من الغنا

Likewise Buhayr, then Bahhath—O my God,

Stand by a weak man almost worn away by wealth.

ولا تسلمنه للبلايا فإنه

ولا تسلمنه للبلايا فإنه

غدا مستجيرا بالكمالات خصنا

غدا مستجيرا بالكمالات خصنا

And do not surrender him to afflictions, for he

Has become a seeker of refuge; favor us with perfections.
