غلامُكَ يُمْنٌ أصلَحَ اللهُ شأنَهُ

غلامُكَ يُمْنٌ أصلَحَ اللهُ شأنَهُ

بعيدٌ عنِ الإقبالِ والرُّشْدِ واليُمْنِ

بعيدٌ عنِ الإقبالِ والرُّشْدِ واليُمْنِ

Your servant boy Yumn—may God set his affairs right—

Your slave is fortunate, may God improve his condition

is far from prosperity, sound judgment, and good fortune.

Far from luck, righteousness, and fortune

يُريكَ عفافاً حينَ تَخلوا بأُنْسِهِ

يُريكَ عفافاً حينَ تَخلوا بأُنْسِهِ

وكَم أعزبٍ في النَّاسِ يُمني على يُمْنِ

وكَم أعزبٍ في النَّاسِ يُمني على يُمْنِ

He shows you chastity when you are alone in his company,

He shows you chastity when you are alone with his company

yet many a bachelor among the people ejaculates on Yumn.

And how many unmarried men among the people pretend to be fortunate
