مَنwhoever شَكاcomplained قَسوَةَharshness الزَّمانِof time فإنِّيthen indeed I
شاكِرٌgrateful for رأفَةَcompassion الزَّمانِof time عَلَيَّاtoward me
Whoever complains of time's harshness—as for me,
Whoever complains of the harshness of time, as for me
I am grateful for time's compassion toward me.
I am thankful for the kindness of time towards me
إذfor أرَتْنيit showed me رِضاكَyour approval عَنِّيof me وإقباand turning (word continues)
لَكَyour (completes 'your turning') بالبِرِّwith kindness والتَّحَفِّيand solicitous care عَلَيَّاtoward me
For it showed me your approval of me and your turning
When it showed me your satisfaction with me and inclination
toward me with kindness and solicitous care.
Towards me with righteousness and endowment upon me
فجزاهَاso may he reward it الإلهُGod عَنِّيَon my behalf خَيْراًwith good
صَيَّرَتْنيit made me شَيئاًsomething ولمand not أكُI was شَيَّاanything
So may God reward it with good on my behalf:
So may God reward it on my behalf with goodness
it made me something, when I had been nothing.
It made me something when I was nothing
