مادامَ بي طَرفٌ وعِرقٌ ينبِض
Who will tell the wicked on my behalf that I—
Who will inform the evildoers that as long as I have sight and a pulsing vein, I think little of them because I oppose them and opposites naturally hate each other. And when they see me approaching, let them know that I turn my face away from friendship with them.
So long as I have sight and a vein that pulses—
أقليهُمُI loathe them طُرّاًall لأنِّيbecause I ضِدُّهُمْtheir opposite
أقليهُمُ طُرّاً لأنِّي ضِدُّهُمْ
والضِّدُّand an adversary للضِّدِّtoward an adversary المُنافِسthe rival يبغِضُfeels hatred
والضِّدُّ للضِّدِّ المُنافِس يبغِضُ
Loathe them all, for I am their opposite;
And an adversary hates his opposing rival.

And if they see me approaching, let them know
That I turn the face of friendship away from them.
