قلْ لأبي النَّضرِ الذي ليس في

قلْ لأبي النَّضرِ الذي ليس في

سؤدْدِهِ بينَ الأنامِ اختلافْ

سؤدْدِهِ بينَ الأنامِ اختلافْ

Tell Abu al-Nadr, whose

Tell Abu al-Nadhr, who there is not amongst people

eminence is undisputed among humankind:

In his excellence any dispute

اثْمِرْ إذا أَورَقْتَ للمُجتني

اثْمِرْ إذا أَورَقْتَ للمُجتني

وكُنْ لنا فيهِ خِلافَ الخِلاف

وكُنْ لنا فيهِ خِلافَ الخِلاف

Bear fruit when you put forth leaves, for the fruit-picker,

Bear fruit when you flourish for the picker

And be for us, in this, unlike the willow.

And for us therein be unlike dispute
