يا فَقيدَ المِثل لا فِينا ولكِنْ

يا فَقيدَ المِثل لا فِينا ولكِنْ

في كِرامِ النَّاس حينَ النَّاسُ ناسُ

في كِرامِ النَّاس حينَ النَّاسُ ناسُ

O you without equal—not among us, but

O one of matchless virtues, not in us,

Among the noble of humankind, when people were truly people.

But among all honored peoples everywhere,

أنتَ عَينُ الجُودِ نَصّاً وقِياساً

أنتَ عَينُ الجُودِ نَصّاً وقِياساً

وبَيانُ الحَقِّ نَصٌ وقِياسُ

وبَيانُ الحَقِّ نَصٌ وقِياسُ

You are generosity itself, by explicit text and analogy;

The model of all generosity in deed and law,

And the elucidation of truth is explicit text and analogy.

The very proof of truth in text and rule.
