ياقومُ دَمعي ودمي

كِلاهُما قد وَكَفا

كِلاهُما قد وَكَفا

O people, my tears and my blood—

both have indeed flowed.

Both have been sufficient

أشكوكَ ياسُؤالي إلى

مَنْ هُوَ حَسْبي وكفَى

مَنْ هُوَ حَسْبي وكفَى

I complain of you, O my desire, to

I complain to you, my torment

the One who is sufficient for me—and He suffices.
