خَلِّ الطَّريقَ تَعِشْ في ظِلِّ عافِيَةٍ

خَلِّ الطَّريقَ تَعِشْ في ظِلِّ عافِيَةٍ

يا بنَ اللَّبونِ إذا استَنَّ القَناعِيسُ

يا بنَ اللَّبونِ إذا استَنَّ القَناعِيسُ

Make way, and you will live in the shade of well-being,

Make way, live in good health's shade,

O two-year-old camel, when the mighty camels gallop.

O Lebanese son, when the cups are passed around,

ولا تُزاحِمْ بنَحرِ العَيشِ صَدرَقَنا

ولا تُزاحِمْ بنَحرِ العَيشِ صَدرَقَنا

فلنْ يقاوِمَ أطرافَ القَنا عِيسُ

فلنْ يقاوِمَ أطرافَ القَنا عِيسُ

And do not press life's throat against the breast of spears,

Do not trouble the bosom of life with your chest,

for white camels will not withstand the tips of spears.

For Jesus cannot resist the ends of spears.
