إذا شئتَ أن تلقى حسودَكَ راغِماً

إذا شئتَ أن تلقى حسودَكَ راغِماً

وتقتلَهُ غَمّاً وتحرقَهُ هَمَّا

وتقتلَهُ غَمّاً وتحرقَهُ هَمَّا

If you wish to find your envier humbled,

If you wish to defeat your envious enemies,

and kill him with grief and burn him with worry,

And kill them with grief and burn them with worries,

فسامِ العُلا وازدد من الفضل إنهُ

فسامِ العُلا وازدد من الفضل إنهُ

مَنِ ازدادَ فضلاً زادَ حاسدُهُ غَمّا

مَنِ ازدادَ فضلاً زادَ حاسدُهُ غَمّا

then seek the heights and gain more excellence, for indeed,

Then seek the heights and increase in merit, for

whoever grows in excellence, his envier grows in grief.

He who increases in merit increases the worries of his envious enemies.
