إذاif أقسَمَswear الأبطالُthe heroes يَوماًone day بسيفِهِمْby their sword
إذا أقسَمَ الأبطالُ يَوماً بسيفِهِمْ
وعدُّوهُand count it مِمّاamong what يُكسِبُbrings المَجدَglory والكَرَمْand nobility
وعدُّوهُ مِمّا يُكسِبُ المَجدَ والكَرَمْ
If heroes one day swear by their sword,
and count it among what brings glory and nobility,
كفىis enough قلَمَthe pen الكُتّابِof the scribes عِزّاًhonor ورِفعَةًand eminence
كفى قلَمَ الكُتّابِ عِزّاً ورِفعَةً
مدىthroughout الدَّهرِall time أنَّthat اللهَGod أقسَمَhas sworn بالقَلَمْby the pen
مدى الدَّهرِ أنَّ اللهَ أقسَمَ بالقَلَمْ
it is honor and eminence enough for the scribes' pen,
for all time, that God has sworn by the pen.
