أجبنُ بل أرعَدُ من خيفَةٍ

أيّامَ ألقى فِئَة القَافِيَهْ

I turn coward—nay, I tremble with fear—

I lose courage—nay, tremble with fear—

whenever I meet the company of rhyme.
