تَوَقَّBeware مِنَof اللَّياليthe nights واجْتَنِبْهاand shun them
تَوَقَّ مِنَ اللَّيالي واجْتَنِبْها
فإنَّfor indeed نَعِيمَهاtheir pleasures دُونَless than الرَّزاياthe calamities
فإنَّ نَعِيمَها دُونَ الرَّزايا
Beware of the nights and shun them,
For their pleasures are outweighed by their calamities.
هُماthe two of them غَرْسانِtwo trees لَيْلٌnight أوor نَهارٌday
هُما غَرْسانِ لَيْلٌ أو نَهارٌ
ثِمارُهماthe fruits of both البَلاياthe afflictions للِبَراياfor humankind
ثِمارُهما البَلايا للِبَرايا
They are two trees—night or day—
Their fruits are afflictions for humankind.
