عامِلِ الناسَ بِرَأيٍ رَفيقِ

عامِلِ الناسَ بِرَأيٍ رَفيقِ

وَالقِ مَن تَلقى بِوَجهٍ طَليقِ

وَالقِ مَن تَلقى بِوَجهٍ طَليقِ

Treat people with a gentle approach,

Treat people gently

and greet whomever you meet with a cheerful face.

Greet all you meet with a smile

فَإِذا أَنتَ جَميلُ الثَناءِ

فَإِذا أَنتَ جَميلُ الثَناءِ

وَإِذا أَنتَ كَثيرُ الصَديقِ

وَإِذا أَنتَ كَثيرُ الصَديقِ

Then you will be well spoken of,

For then you'll be praised for your gracious ways

and you will have many friends.

And have many friends all the while
