اِشتَدَّ بَغيُ الناسِ في الأَرضِ

اِشتَدَّ بَغيُ الناسِ في الأَرضِ

وَعُلُوُّ بَعضِهِمُ عَلى بَعضِ

وَعُلُوُّ بَعضِهِمُ عَلى بَعضِ

People's oppression on earth has grown severe,

The people's wrongdoing intensified on earth

and the domination of some of them over others.

And some rose above others

دَعهُم وَما اِختاروا لِأَنفُسِهِم

دَعهُم وَما اِختاروا لِأَنفُسِهِم

فَاللَهُ بَينَ عِبادِهِ يَقضي

فَاللَهُ بَينَ عِبادِهِ يَقضي

Leave them to what they have chosen for themselves,

Leave them and what they chose for themselves

for God judges between His servants.

عَجَباً لَهُم لا يَفكُرونَ فَيَع

عَجَباً لَهُم لا يَفكُرونَ فَيَع

تَبِرَ الَّذي يَبقى بِمَن يَمضي

تَبِرَ الَّذي يَبقى بِمَن يَمضي

How strange of them! They do not reflect, so that

Wondrously, they do not think to comprehend

the one who remains might take heed from the one who passes away.

That the one who remains endures after the one who passes
