O soul, whatever does not endure, forsake it.

And death has a plan for you, so await it.

Whoever among us has gone has gone alone, by himself.

And we shall soon, without a doubt, follow him.

A man's sons are consoled for his loss after he is gone,

when he dies, by what consoled him after his father's death.

I have found the least worried of people to be the most

contented, and most satisfied with their lot.

So blessed is he who encounters nothing decreed for him

by God without rejoicing in it and accepting it.

And there is no good in one who keeps seeking for himself

any good he does not seek for his brother.
