لا بارَكَ اللَهُ فيمَن كانَ يُخبِرني

لا بارَكَ اللَهُ فيمَن كانَ يُخبِرني

أَنَّ المُحِبّينَ في لَهوٍ وَلَذّاتِ

أَنَّ المُحِبّينَ في لَهوٍ وَلَذّاتِ

May God not bless whoever used to tell me

May Allah not bless whoever told me

That lovers live in amusement and pleasures.

That lovers live in vanity and pleasure

لَمَوتَةٌ تَأخُذُ الإِنسانَ واحِدَةٌ

لَمَوتَةٌ تَأخُذُ الإِنسانَ واحِدَةٌ

خَيرٌ لَهُ مِن لِقاءِ المَوتِ مَرّاتِ

خَيرٌ لَهُ مِن لِقاءِ المَوتِ مَرّاتِ

Surely a single death that takes a person

Death comes once to take man away

Is better for him than meeting death time and again.

Better than meeting death repeatedly
