أَنَ بِاللَهِ وَحدَهُ وَإِلَيهِ

أَنَ بِاللَهِ وَحدَهُ وَإِلَيهِ

إِنَّما الخَيرُ كُلُّهُ في يَدَيهِ

إِنَّما الخَيرُ كُلُّهُ في يَدَيهِ

I rely on God alone, and to Him I turn.

I believe in God alone, and to Him

All goodness is in His hands alone.

All good is in His hands, truly

أَحمَدُ اللَهَ وَهوَ أَلهَمَني الحَم

أَحمَدُ اللَهَ وَهوَ أَلهَمَني الحَم

دُ عَلى المَنِّ وَالمَزيدُ لَدَيهِ

دُ عَلى المَنِّ وَالمَزيدُ لَدَيهِ

I praise God, and He inspired me to praise

I thank God, He inspired me with praise

for His bounty; and with Him lies still more.

For the blessings, and more await with Him

كَم زَمانٍ بَكَيتُ مِنهُ قَديماً

كَم زَمانٍ بَكَيتُ مِنهُ قَديماً

ثُمَّ لَمّا مَضى بَكَيتُ عَلَيهِ

ثُمَّ لَمّا مَضى بَكَيتُ عَلَيهِ

Many a stretch of time once made me weep;

How long did I weep for times past

then, when it passed, I wept for it.

Then when gone did I weep for them
