لاdo not تَغضَبَنَّbe angry (emphatic) عَلىwith امرِئٍa man
لا تَغضَبَنَّ عَلى امرِئٍ
لَكَto you مانِعٍwithholding ماwhat فيin يَدَيهِhis two hands
لَكَ مانِعٍ ما في يَدَيهِ
Do not be angry with a man
Who withholds from you what is in his hands;
وَاغضَبand be angry عَلىat الطَمَعِgreed الَّذيthat اِسfirst fragment of 'summoned you'
وَاغضَب عَلى الطَمَعِ الَّذي اِس
تَدعاكَremaining fragment of 'summoned you' تَطلُبُyou seek ماwhat لَدَيهِin his possession
تَدعاكَ تَطلُبُ ما لَدَيهِ
And be angry at the greed that
Summoned you to seek what he has.
