إِلى اللَهِ فَارغَب لا إِلى ذا وَلا ذاكَ

إِلى اللَهِ فَارغَب لا إِلى ذا وَلا ذاكَ

فَإِنَّكَ عَبدُ اللَهِ وَاللَهُ مَولاكا

فَإِنَّكَ عَبدُ اللَهِ وَاللَهُ مَولاكا

Direct your longing to God, not to this one or that.

Turn to God, not to this or that one,

For you are God's servant, and God is your master.

For you are God's servant and God is your guardian.

وَإِن شِئتَ أَن تَحيا سَليماً مِنَ الأَذى

وَإِن شِئتَ أَن تَحيا سَليماً مِنَ الأَذى

فَكُن لِشِرارِ الناسِ ما عِشتَ تَرّاكا

فَكُن لِشِرارِ الناسِ ما عِشتَ تَرّاكا

And if you wish to live safe from harm,

And if you want to live safe from harm,

Then keep shunning the worst of people as long as you live.

Be, as long as you live, for the evildoers, forgiving.
