برءُ الإمامِ حياةُ الخلقِ كلهم

برءُ الإمامِ حياةُ الخلقِ كلهم

عمَّ السرورُ به وانثالتِ النعمُ

عمَّ السرورُ به وانثالتِ النعمُ

The imam's recovery is life for all creation.

The Imam's wellbeing is the life of all people

Joy spread through it, and blessings poured forth.

Happiness has spread through him and blessings have poured down

شكا فلا مقلةً إلا أضرَّ بها

شكا فلا مقلةً إلا أضرَّ بها

سُهدٌ ولا قلبَ إلا شفهُ ألمُ

سُهدٌ ولا قلبَ إلا شفهُ ألمُ

He fell ill: there was no eye unharmed

He complained of no weakness except it did him harm

By sleeplessness, nor any heart unworn by pain.

No pillow was soft, no heart free of pain's bite

تجهم الدهر لما أن شكا وبدا

تجهم الدهر لما أن شكا وبدا

ببرئهو وهو طلقُ الوجهِ مبتسمُ

ببرئهو وهو طلقُ الوجهِ مبتسمُ

Time scowled when he fell ill, and appeared

Fate frowned when he complained and looked

At his recovery, bright-faced and smiling.

At his radiant, smiling face

صحت بصحتهِ الآمالُ وانتعشت

صحت بصحتهِ الآمالُ وانتعشت

وزاحمت زُحلاً في افقهِ الهممُ

وزاحمت زُحلاً في افقهِ الهممُ

Hopes recovered with his health and revived,

With his health, hopes grew strong and were revived

And aspirations rivaled Saturn on its horizon.

And struggled with Saturn in its realm of worries

أفاضَ عدلاً على الدنيا وألبسها

أفاضَ عدلاً على الدنيا وألبسها

نوراً فلم يبقَ لا ظلمٌ ولا ظلمُ

نوراً فلم يبقَ لا ظلمٌ ولا ظلمُ

He poured justice over the world and clothed it

He brought justice to the world and clothed it

In light, so neither injustice nor darkness remained.

With light, so no injustice or wrong remained

وبثَّ في كلِّ إقليمٍ هُدى وندى

وبثَّ في كلِّ إقليمٍ هُدى وندى

فليسَ يُوجَدُ لا جهلٌ ولا عدمُ

فليسَ يُوجَدُ لا جهلٌ ولا عدمُ

And spread guidance and bounty through every region,

And sowed in every region guidance and dew

So neither ignorance nor want is found.

So no ignorance or lack was to be found

لولا سياسته ما كان ملتئماً

لولا سياسته ما كان ملتئماً

شعثٌ ولا كانت الأسبابُ تنتظمُ

شعثٌ ولا كانت الأسبابُ تنتظمُ

Without his governance, there would be no gathering

Without his rule, nothing would be mended

Of what was scattered, nor would the bonds fall into order.

No mess remedied, no means set in order

والله يختص أقواماً برحمتهِ

والله يختص أقواماً برحمتهِ

تجري بحكمتهِ الأرزاقُ والقِسَمُ

تجري بحكمتهِ الأرزاقُ والقِسَمُ

And God singles out peoples for His mercy;

And God singles out some with His mercy

By His wisdom, provisions and allotted shares flow.

حاطَ الإلهُ لِنصرِ الدينِ مهجتهُ

حاطَ الإلهُ لِنصرِ الدينِ مهجتهُ

وعُوفيت تلكمُ الأخلاقُ والشيمُ

وعُوفيت تلكمُ الأخلاقُ والشيمُ

God guarded his life to aid the faith,

God has wrapped his essence around defending the faith

And those virtues and character traits were restored to health.

Those manners and traits have been healed
