في غَلصَمِ الهامِ وَهامِ الغَلصَمِ
My father is Lujaym, and his name fills the mouth,

In the gullets of heads, and the heads of gullets.
In the throat of heads, and the heads of the throat.
تِلكُمthat (addressing you all) لُجَيمٌLujaym فَمَتىso when نُخَرطِمِwe strike snouts
تِلكُم لُجَيمٌ فَمَتى نُخَرطِمِ
تَخطِمُshe strikes on the nose أُمرَthe chiefs of قَومِهاher people وَتَخطِمِand she strikes on the nose
تَخطِمُ أُمرَ قَومِها وَتَخطِمِ
There you have Lujaym—when are we ever led by the nose?
That is Lujaym; so when shall we strike snouts?
She takes her people’s affairs by the nose, and strikes noses;
She strikes her people's chiefs on the nose, and strikes on the nose.
