To al-Badawi, the Succor, I directed my resolve;
To the Bedouin seeking aid I turn my will
it sees him as a refuge in momentous affairs.
Seeing in him refuge in grave affairs
فانعمso how excellent بهwith him منas سيدa master ربlord of غارةan onslaught
فانعم به من سيد رب غارة
مجربةtried and proven ماan emphatic particle بينamong اهلthe people of العزائمsteadfast resolves
مجربة ما بين اهل العزائم
How excellent a master he is, lord of an onslaught
So enjoy through him a lord of plunder
tried and proven among those of steadfast resolve!
Tested among the resolute folk
وهلand is there فيamong صنوفthe ranks of الاولياءthe saints وانand even if علواthey rise high
وهل في صنوف الاولياء وان علوا
اجلmore exalted منthan الزهرthe radiant ones الكرامthe noble ones الفواطمFatima's descendants
اجل من الزهر الكرام الفواطم
And among the ranks of saints, however high they rise,
Is there among the saintly kinds, though lofty
is any more exalted than Fatima's radiant, noble descendants?
