The secret of discerning meanings,

The secret of eloquence

through the signs of elucidation,

is in the gestures of expression.

قد تلا معنا رشيقا

ليس يتلى باللسان

ليس يتلى باللسان

has indeed recited an elegant meaning

He conveyed to us a graceful meaning

that is not recited by the tongue.

that cannot be articulated by the tongue.

وبدت منه شؤن

واضحات للعيان

واضحات للعيان

And aspects emerged from it,

And qualities became apparent in him,

clear to the eye.
