Sol 6.1

  1. سر الغيوب افاض اللارواح

    سرا اتى بلطائف الافراح

    The mystery of the unseen poured forth for the spirits

    a secret that came with delicate joys.

  2. وجلالها روحا اباحت نشأة

    فيها كنشأة ناهل من راح

    And it unveiled to them a spirit that granted a new state of being,

    therein, like the state of one who has drunk his fill of wine.

  3. طابت بها الأرواح لما اشرقت

    من طي فياض العلى بصباح

    The spirits were gladdened through it when it shone forth

    from the depths of the wellspring of sublimity, bringing dawn.

  4. ومضت باسجفة السرور امينة

    بظلال صاحب دولة الاشباح

    And they went on securely amid the curtains of joy,

    in the shade of the master of the realm of bodily forms.

  5. علم الايمة من سلالة حيدر

    وعميد عترة ذلك الجحجاح

    The beacon of the imams, from Haydar's lineage,

    and chief of the descendants of that mighty lord.

  6. سلطان اقطاب الرجال وتاجهم

    فلك الوحا ذو المظهر الوضاح

    Sultan of the spiritual poles among men, and their crown,

    the sphere of revelation, whose manifestation is radiant.

  7. ذخري الرفاعي الكير المرتجى

    لحصول كل غنمة ونجاح

    My treasure, the great al-Rifa'i, in whom hope rests

    for attaining every gain and success.

  8. رحب الذراع محجب في حجه

    نال الفخار بلثم اكرم راح

    Open-handed and veiled, during his pilgrimage

    he gained glory by kissing the noblest palm.

  9. شيخي ابو العلمين شمس الشرق من

    ملأ الوجود بانعم وسماح

    My shaykh, Abu al-Alamayn, sun of the East, who

    filled existence with blessings and generosity.

  10. استاذ كبكبكة الاكابر من بني ال

    سبطين اهل افاضة الارباح

    Master of the throng of the great, among the descendants of the

    two grandsons, bestowers of abundant gains.

  11. اسد العرين ابو اليمين وصاحب ال

    تمكين والهادي لكل فلاح

    Lion of the lair, Abu al-Yamin, and master of the

    steadfast station, and guide to every success.

  12. مولى طريق بالخضوع موطد

    صعبت مسالكة على الشطاح

    Master of a path firmly founded on humility,

    whose ways proved difficult for ecstatic declaimers.

  13. جذب العزائم للمهيمن حاله

    فسرت تطير له بغير جناح

    His spiritual state drew aspirations toward the Guardian,

    so they journeyed, flying toward Him without wings.

  14. وجلالها عتم الطريق بنوره

    والصبح قد يغني عن المصباح

    And he dispelled the path's darkness for them with his light;

    and dawn can make a lamp needless.

  15. ان أنت يا راجي الوصول علقت في

    اذياله طب رغم وهم اللاح

    If you, O seeker of attainment, have clung to

    his robe's hems, be at ease despite the faultfinder's delusion.

  16. فلقد علقت بذبل غوث غيثه

    يحيى المحب بفيضه السحاح

    For you have indeed clung to the hem of a rescuer whose rain

    revives the lover with its copious outpouring.

  17. تجرى مدائحه بنا وكأنها

    تلك الفصول زهت وجوه ملاح

    His praises flow through us, as though

    those passages were lovely faces aglow.

  18. واذا تلاها المشندون بمحضر

    دارت على الارواح بالاقداح

    And when the chanters recite them at a gathering,

    they go round among the spirits in goblets.

  19. فتصاعدت زفرات سادات الحمى

    وتعطرت بعبيرها الفياح

    Then the sighs of the sanctuary's masters rise,

    and are perfumed by their far-spreading fragrance,

  20. وتمايلت ميل الغصون مع الصبا

    فالكل سكران بسمية صاحي

    and sway as boughs sway in the east wind.

    So all are drunk with Sumayya, yet sober.

  21. مولاي يا ابن الطاهرين انظرلمن

    موج اللهيب بمدمع سياح

    My master, O son of the pure, look upon one

    with waves of flame in an ever-streaming eye.

  22. وارحم لهيفا والها ذا انة

    تغنيك انته عن الافصاح

    And pity one anguished and love-bewildered, who moans;

    his moan spares you the need for explanation.

  23. فلأنت صدر القوم سيد حزبهم

    وهزبر اهل الطمس والايضاح

    For you are indeed the chief of the company, master of their band,

    and the lion of the people of effacement and disclosure.

  24. بحر الخوارق والحقائق والندى

    والعلم والعرفان والاصلاح

    An ocean of miracles, realities, and bounty,

    and knowledge, gnosis, and reform.

  25. ولك التفرد في الولاية رونق

    ألبسته في عالم الارواح

    And yours is unique distinction in sainthood, a splendor

    in which you were robed in the world of spirits.

  26. خذها ابن زين العابدين كأنها

    هيفاء بل حوراء ذات وشاح

    Accept it, son of Zayn al-Abidin, as though it were

    a slender maiden—rather, a dark-eyed beauty wearing a sash.

  27. حاكت عقودا في بنود بنفسج

    ولألئا منسوجة باقاح

    She wove necklaces amid banners of violets,

    and pearls interwoven with daisies.

  28. جائتك من عبد يجيك هائم

    يشدو بآيات الغرام صراح

    It has come to you from a servant who approaches you, lost in love,

    openly singing the verses of ardent love.

  29. ان المحب اذا تحقق في الهوى

    صعب عليه تهكم النصاح

    Indeed, when a lover becomes firmly established in love,

    the advisers' mockery is hard for him to bear.
