1. قمر المجد انطوت انواره

    آه والهف المعالي بالكفن

    The moon of glory—its lights have faded.

    Ah, and alas for lofty virtues in the shroud!

  2. ولذا اظلمت الدنيا وقد

    زلزلت بالناس من فرط الحزن

    And so the world grew dark, and indeed

    was shaken with its people by overwhelming grief.

  3. ونعت شيخا كبيرا سيدا

    ملأ الاقطار بالصيت الحسن

    And mourned a great shaykh, a master,

    who filled the lands with fine renown.

  4. هو في آل علي معرق

    ذو اتصال بالحسين والحسن

    He is deeply rooted in the house of Ali,

    with ties to Husayn and Hasan.

  5. خالدي قرشي واصل

    وعلى سر المعالي مؤتمن

    Khalidi, Qurashi, spiritually realized,

    and entrusted with the secret of lofty virtues.

  6. طلق الدنيا باخلاص وما

    عنده في القلب للدنيا ثمن

    He divorced the world sincerely, and no

    value did the world hold within his heart.

  7. عامل الله بصدق وقضى

    نحبه بالامن من كل الفتن

    He dealt sincerely with God and fulfilled

    his appointed term, safe from all tribulations.

  8. هكذا احباب ربي جل من

    محسن اتحف قوما بالمنن

    Such are my Lord's beloved—exalted is He as

    a Benefactor who graced a people with blessings.

  9. منهمو هذا الولي المرتضى

    علوي الشان استاذ الزمن

    Among them is this saint, the chosen one,

    lofty in station, master of the age.

  10. روحه طاهرة حاضرة

    حينما يدعوه موثوق المحن

    His spirit is pure and present

    whenever one bound by afflictions calls upon him.

  11. عارف تاريخه حي فقل

    رحمة الله على القطب حسن

    A knower of God—his chronogram lives on; so say:

    God's mercy be upon the spiritual Pole, Hasan.
