1. الحمد للَه الذي قد أنعما

    ومنة بفضله تكرما

    Praise belongs to God, who has bestowed favor,

    And graciously granted favor through His bounty,

  2. وحفنا بلطفه الخفي

    وعمنا بجوده الوفي

    And surrounded us with His hidden kindness,

    And encompassed us with His unfailing generosity,

  3. وجاد بالإحسان والإنعام

    ومن بالإرشاد للإسلام

    And freely bestowed goodness and blessings,

    And favored us with guidance to Islam.

  4. عرفنا بمنه تعطفاً

    أن نقتدي بالهاشمي المصطفى

    Through His favor, He compassionately taught us

    To follow the Chosen Hashimite,

  5. خير الورى وصفوة الخلاق

    وأكمل الخلق على الإطلاق

    The best of humankind, the Creator's chosen one,

    And the most perfect of creation without exception,

  6. المرشد الهادي إلى الطريق

    والصدق والإخلاص والتحقيق

    The guide who leads to the path,

    And to truthfulness, sincerity, and realization,

  7. أمام أهل السلك والإرشاد

    وسيد العباد والعباد

    Imam of those of the spiritual course and guidance,

    And master of servants and worshippers,

  8. وسيلة الكل إلى الرحمن

    وباب دار الوصل للديان

    The means by which all approach the All-Merciful,

    And the gate of the abode of union with the Requiter,

  9. وقائد القادات للسلوك

    وملحق المملوك بالملوك

    And leader of leaders in spiritual wayfaring,

    And he who joins the bondservant to kings.

  10. عليه صلى اللَه في الآيات

    وآله في سائر الحالات

    God has blessed him in the verses,

    And his family, in every state.

  11. يا ربنا بجاهه العظيم

    وقدره وفضله العميم

    O our Lord, through his mighty standing,

    And his rank and all-encompassing excellence,

  12. وسره لنوصل بالرجال

    وحاله السامي على الأحوال

    And his secret, that we may be joined to the men,

    And his state, exalted above all states,

  13. بالسيد الصديق والفاروق

    والحبر ذي النورين والتصديق

    Through the master al-Siddiq and al-Faruq,

    And the learned one, possessor of the two lights and affirmation,

  14. بصاحب الطريقة المسلسله

    علي الكرار شيخ السلسله

    Through the master of the linked spiritual path,

    Ali the oft-charging, shaykh of the chain,

  15. جد كرما يا رب بالفتوح

    وحفنا بالمدد السبوحي

    Graciously bestow spiritual openings, O Lord,

    And surround us with aid from the All-Holy,

  16. وسر بنا إلى الشؤن الصالحه

    بجاههم وجاء فضل الفاتحه

    And lead us into righteous affairs,

    Through their standing and the honor of al-Fatiha's merit.

  17. وافصل الصلاة والسلام

    على النبي الزمزمي التهامي

    And the finest blessings and peace

    Upon the Prophet of Zamzam and Tihama.

  18. يا ربنا بالمرشد البصري

    شيخ الطريق العارف الولي

    O our Lord, through the guide al-Basri,

    Shaykh of the path, the gnostic saint,

  19. فدنا بفضل منك للنجاح

    وداؤنا بالرشد والصلاح

    Redeem us through grace from You, unto success,

    And heal us with right guidance and righteousness.

  20. يا ربنا وبالحبيب العجمي

    خليقة البصري عالي الهمم

    O our Lord, and through Habib al-Ajami,

    Al-Basri's successor, lofty in aspiration,

  21. تولنا في كل أمرٍ واكفنا

    وشافنا من البلا وعافنا

    Take charge of us in every affair, and suffice us,

    And heal us of affliction and grant us well-being.

  22. يا ربنا بالعارف الطائي

    داود قطب الأًصفيا الرضيّ

    O our Lord, through the gnostic al-Ta'i,

    Dawud, the well-pleasing Pole of the pure,

  23. أنعم علينا منك بالقبول

    والرشد والفلاح والوصول

    Bestow upon us acceptance from You,

    And right guidance, success, and attainment.

  24. يا ربنا بالمرشد المعروف

    شيخ الورى الكرخى الهمام الصوفي

    O our Lord, through the guide Ma'ruf,

    Shaykh of humankind, al-Karkhi, the valiant Sufi,

  25. كن حافظاً لنا من الأغادي

    وواقيا من حسد الحساد

    Be our protector against enemies,

    And our shield against the envy of the envious.

  26. يا ربنا بالسقطي السري

    محي الطريق الكوكب البهي

    O our Lord, through Sari al-Saqati,

    Reviver of the path, the radiant star,

  27. خذنا بسر اللطف للآمال

    وسر بنا في مسلك الرجال

    Lead us through kindness's secret to our hopes,

    And guide us along the course of the men.

  28. يا ربنا بالفاضل البغدادي

    أعنى الجنيد تاج ذي الإرشاد

    O our Lord, through the virtuous Baghdadi,

    I mean Junayd, crown of those endowed with guidance,

  29. سامح وجد باللظف والإحسان

    وعافنا من خدعة الشيطان

    Pardon and generously bestow kindness and goodness,

    And keep us safe from Satan's deception.

  30. يا ربنا بالواصل الشبلي

    كنز الكمال المرشد الولي

    O our Lord, through al-Shibli, who attained union,

    Treasure of perfection, the guiding saint,

  31. طهر لنا بفلك السريره

    ونور الأبصار والبصيره

    Purify our inner self through Your grace,

    And illuminate our eyes and inward vision.

  32. يا رب بالشيخ على الجمي

    شيخ شيوخ القوم أهل الهمم

    O Lord, through Shaykh Ali al-Jumi,

    Shaykh of the company's shaykhs, those of lofty aspirations,

  33. كن حامياً لنا من الأكدار

    وناصراً لنا على الفجار

    Be our protector against sorrows,

    And our helper against the wicked.

  34. يا ربنا بالروذ بادي الكامل

    أستاذ أهل القرب والفضائل

    O our Lord, through the perfected al-Rudhbadi,

    Master of those of nearness and virtues,

  35. توفنا طراً على الإيمان

    عند انتها الآجال بالإحسان

    Let us all die upon faith,

    At the end of our lifespans, with kindness.

  36. يا ربنا بابن تركان البطل

    غلام صاحب التقي زين العمل

    O our Lord, through Ibn Turkan, the hero,

    A servant endowed with piety, an adornment to deeds,

  37. كن حافظاً لنا وكن نصيراً

    وحامياً وحارساً مجيرا

    Be our protector and be our helper,

    Our defender, guardian, and giver of refuge.

  38. يا رب بالشيخ أبى الفضل الأسد

    إمام أهل الزي صاحب المدد

    O Lord, through Shaykh Abu al-Fadl, the lion,

    Imam of those of the garb, possessor of spiritual aid,

  39. أحسن لنا المعاش بالرفاهية

    وردنا منك بثوب العافيه

    Make our livelihood good, in comfort,

    And restore us, from You, in the robe of well-being.

  40. يا رب بالشيخ على الواسطي

    حائز نور القرب بالوسائط

    O Lord, through Shaykh Ali al-Wasiti,

    Who attained the light of nearness through intermediaries,

  41. قدنا بحبل الفضل للنجاة

    وعافنا من جملة العاهات

    Lead us by the cord of grace to salvation,

    And keep us safe from every affliction.

  42. شيخ شيوخ الأوليا الأكابر

    أستاذ أهل باطن وظاهر

    Shaykh of the shaykhs of the great saints,

    Master of those of the inward and the outward,

  43. حائز تقبيل يد الرسول

    كما أتى بالسند المنقول

    Who attained the kissing of the Messenger's hand,

    As has come down through the transmitted chain,

  44. إمام أهل الذوق والحقائق

    مرشدهم في الغرب والمشارق

    Imam of those of spiritual taste and realities,

    Their guide in the west and the eastern lands,

  45. سلطان أهل الحال والسماع

    شمس العراق أحمد الرفاعي

    Sultan of those of spiritual states and devotional listening,

    Sun of Iraq, Ahmad al-Rifa'i,

  46. سليل طه سيد الكونين

    شيخ العواجز الولي الحسبني

    Descendant of Taha, the master of the two worlds,

    Shaykh of helpless women, the saint al-Hasbani,

  47. بفضله وفضل أهل نسبه

    وأهل سلكه وأهل حسبه

    Through his merit and the merit of his kin,

    And the people of his path and of his noble standing,

  48. نور لنا النيات بالإخلاص

    ونجنا من شرك المعاصي

    Illuminate our intentions with sincerity,

    And deliver us from the snare of sins.

  49. والحمد للَه وصلى اللَه

    على نبينا ومن والاه

    And praise belongs to God, and may God bless

    Our Prophet and whoever is loyal to him.

  50. يا رنبا بالمرشد الممكن

    ملاذنا الأستاذ عبد المحسن

    O our Lord, through the firmly established guide,

    Our refuge, the master Abd al-Muhsin,

  51. زدنا تقى وعافنا من البلا

    واصلح لنا شؤننا بين الملا

    Increase us in piety and keep us safe from affliction,

    And set our affairs right among the people.

  52. يا ربنا بالسيد الصياد

    سبط الرفاعي قدوة الأفراد

    O our Lord, through the master al-Sayyad,

    Descendant of al-Rifa'i, exemplar of the peerless,

  53. تولنا يا رب في الأمور

    وجد لنا بالخير والسرور

    Take charge of us, O Lord, in our affairs,

    And generously bestow goodness and joy upon us.

  54. يا ربنا بالشيخ صدر الدين

    إمام أهل الحال والتمكين

    O our Lord, through Shaykh Sadr al-Din,

    Imam of those of spiritual states and firm attainment,

  55. تكرماً جد بالرضى علينا

    وأوصلن حبل الهدى إلينا

    Graciously bestow Your good pleasure upon us,

    And surely extend the cord of guidance to us.

  56. يا ربنا بالحبر شمس الدين

    ألسيد المؤيد الحسيني

    O our Lord, through the learned Shams al-Din,

    The master al-Mu'ayyad al-Husayni,

  57. أجعل لنا من كل ضيق مخرجا

    والطف بنا يا من إليه الملتحي

    Give us a way out of every distress,

    And be gentle with us, O You in whom refuge is sought.

  58. يا ربنا بالقطب الجليل المعتبر

    سليل خير الأنبيا الشيخ عمر

    O our Lord, through the majestic, esteemed Pole,

    Descendant of the best of prophets, Shaykh Umar,

  59. أفتح علينا بالفتوح الكامل

    وقونا على العدو الصائل

    Grant us complete spiritual openings,

    And strengthen us against the assailing enemy.

  60. يا ربنا بالشيخ موسى الأكمل

    أعنى الكبير صاحب التفضل

    O our Lord, through the most accomplished Shaykh Musa,

    I mean the elder, possessor of generous favor,

  61. هيئ لنا الآراب بالسلامه

    واحفظ مساعينا من الندامه

    Provide for our needs in safety,

    And guard our efforts from regret.

  62. يا رب بالشيخ أبى بكر الأجل

    قطب زمانه الرفاعي البطل

    O Lord, through the most august Shaykh Abu Bakr,

    Pole of his age, the heroic al-Rifa'i,

  63. سهل لنا الفتوح عند الخلوه

    وردنا بالصديق وقت الجلوه

    Ease spiritual openings for us in seclusion,

    And restore us through al-Siddiq at the time of coming forth.

  64. يا رب بالمرخص المجاز

    شيخ الورى محمد الحجازي

    O Lord, through the licensed, authorized one,

    Shaykh of humankind, Muhammad al-Hijazi,

  65. كف أكف الظالمين عنا

    وبالتقى عليهم أعنا

    Keep the hands of wrongdoers away from us,

    And through piety, help us against them.

  66. يا رب بالشيخ أبى بكر الونى

    كنز المعاني صاحب السر الجلي

    O Lord, through Shaykh Abu Bakr al-Wani,

    Treasure of meanings, possessor of the manifest secret,

  67. بعفة ورأفة جملنا

    ولسواك رب لا تكلنا

    Adorn us with chastity and compassion,

    And do not entrust us to anyone but You, O Lord.

  68. يا ربنا بالشيخ خير اللَه

    شبل الرفاعي الهلال الزاهي

    O our Lord, through Shaykh Khayr Allah,

    Al-Rifa'i's lion cub, the radiant crescent,

  69. رد بسر منك من عادانا

    ومن بسوء قصده آذانا

    Repel, by a secret from You, whoever is hostile to us,

    And whoever harms us with ill intent.

  70. يا ربنا بشيخنا عرفات

    محمد المشهور بالحالات

    O our Lord, through our shaykh Arafat,

    Muhammad, renowned for spiritual states,

  71. أيد حمانا منك بالحماية

    وحفنا بالنصر والوقايه

    Strengthen our sanctuary with protection from You,

    And surround us with victory and safeguarding.

  72. يا رب بالشيخ الجليل مصطفى

    الورع الزاهد صاحب الوفا

    O Lord, through the venerable Shaykh Mustafa,

    The scrupulous ascetic, possessed of fidelity,

  73. تمم لنا بسعينا الإفاده

    وعمنا بالخير والزياده

    Complete for us the benefit of our striving,

    And encompass us with goodness and increase.

  74. يا رب بالشيخ الهمام أحمد

    سلالة العباس شيخي الأمجد

    O Lord, through the valiant Shaykh Ahmad,

    Scion of al-Abbas, my most glorious shaykh,

  75. صلنا وأوصلنا إلى المأمول

    ومدنا بمدد الرسول

    Unite us and bring us to what we hope for,

    And sustain us with the Messenger's aid.

  76. يا ربنا بالسيد الشيخ رجب

    خاتمة الشيوخ سلسلة الذهب

    O our Lord, through the master Shaykh Rajab,

    Seal of the shaykhs, the chain of gold,

  77. شيد لنا بقربك المراقي

    وداونا بأحسن الأخلاق

    Build for us, through nearness to You, the stages of ascent,

    And heal us with the finest character traits.

  78. يا ربنا بحسن الصيادي

    وأهله وجملة الأسياد

    O our Lord, through Hasan al-Sayyadi,

    And his family and all the masters,

  79. يسر لنا الأمور بالإنعام

    وامنن لنا بأحسن الختام

    Make our affairs easy through Your bounty,

    And favor us with the finest ending.

  80. يا رب بالسلسلة اللطيفه

    بالقوم أهل الحانة الشريفة

    O Lord, through the gracious chain,

    Through the company, those of the noble tavern,

  81. بجملة الأسياد في الطريقه

    وأهل سلك الحق والحقيقه

    Through all the masters in the path,

    And those of the course of truth and reality,

  82. بالعلماء السادة الأعلام

    والصلحاء القادة الكرام

    Through the scholars, the illustrious masters,

    And the righteous, the noble leaders,

  83. بكل شيخ موصل للَه

    وكل حبر عارف باللَه

    Through every shaykh who leads to God,

    And every learned man who knows God,

  84. وكل قطب آمر في الوقت

    ومنقذ من واقعات المقت

    And every Pole who commands in the present age,

    And delivers from calamities of wrath,

  85. بشيخنا الموصل للأساس

    قطب الطريق السيد الرواس

    Through our shaykh who leads to the foundation,

    Pole of the path, the master al-Rawwas,

  86. بشيخه الراوي عبد اللَه

    وشيخه أحمد عالي الجاه

    Through his shaykh al-Rawi, Abd Allah,

    And his shaykh Ahmad, lofty in standing,

  87. بشيخه الأستاذ نور الدين

    أعنى حبيب اللَه ذا التمكين

    Through his shaykh, the master Nur al-Din,

    I mean Habib Allah, possessed of firm attainment,

  88. بشيخه الغوث الولي العالم

    أعنى سراج الدين قطب العالم

    Through his shaykh, the succor, the learned saint,

    I mean Siraj al-Din, Pole of the world,

  89. بشيخه قطب الورى السليمي

    شيخي جمال الدين ذي التكريم

    Through his shaykh, the Pole of humankind, al-Sulaymi,

    My shaykh Jamal al-Din, accorded honor,

  90. بالشيخ قطب الدين نور الحق

    والشيخ شمس الدين بدر الشرق

    Through Shaykh Qutb al-Din, the light of truth,

    And Shaykh Shams al-Din, the full moon of the East,

  91. بالشيخ صدر الدين ذي الإرشاد

    والقطب صدر الأوليا الصاد

    Through Shaykh Sadr al-Din, endowed with guidance,

    And the Pole Sadr al-Awliya, al-Sad,

  92. وجده قطب الورى الرفاعي

    الهاشمي القرشي الداعي

    And his grandfather, the Pole of humankind, al-Rifa'i,

    The Hashimite, the Qurayshite, the caller,

  93. بشيخه منصور ذي العرفان

    شيخ الشيوخ العارف الرباني

    Through his shaykh Mansur, endowed with gnosis,

    Shaykh of shaykhs, the godly gnostic,

  94. بالشيخ تاج العارفين الطيب

    شيخي أبي منصور المقرب

    Through the good shaykh Taj al-Arifin,

    My shaykh Abu Mansur, the one brought near,

  95. بمعدن الأحوال والأسرار

    أبى سعيد العارف البخاري

    Through the wellspring of spiritual states and secrets,

    Abu Sa'id, the gnostic al-Bukhari,

  96. بالعارف المكمل الموجز

    الكمال القطب أبي القرمزي

    Through the perfected gnostic, concise in speech,

    Al-Kamal, the Pole Abu al-Qirmizi,

  97. بالشيخ أبي القاسم السندوسي

    وبرويم الغائب المأنوس

    Through Shaykh Abu al-Qasim al-Sundusi,

    And through Ruwaym, absent yet familiar,

  98. بوالجنيد السيد البغدادي

    وخاله السري مروي الصادي

    And through Junayd, the Baghdadi master,

    And his maternal uncle Sari, quencher of the thirsty,

  99. بشيخنا المعروف قطب البلخ

    وخطة الزوراء شيخ الكرخ

    Through our shaykh Ma'ruf, Pole of Balkh,

    And of al-Zawra's district, shaykh of al-Karkh,

  100. بشيخه غوث الضعيف المرتضى

    سليل طه المصطفى موسى الرضى

    Through his shaykh, succor of the weak, the well-approved,

    Descendant of Taha the Chosen, Musa al-Rida,

  101. بشيخ الإمام مسوى الكاظم

    وشيخه الصادق ذي المكارم

    Through the shaykh, Imam Musa al-Kazim,

    And his shaykh al-Sadiq, endowed with noble qualities,

  102. وشيخه السبع الهمام الكاسر

    محمد المولى الإمام الباقر

    And his shaykh, the valiant, fierce lion,

    Muhammad, the master, Imam al-Baqir,

  103. بشيخه المولى على الأصغر

    مولي زين العابدين الأزهر

    Through his shaykh, the master Ali the Younger,

    My master Zayn al-Abidin, the radiant,

  104. بشيخه أبيه تاج ذي العلا

    أمامنا الحسين شمس كربلا

    Through his shaykh, his father, crown of the exalted,

    Our imam al-Husayn, the sun of Karbala,

  105. بشيخه أبيه حيدر الأسد

    على المولى الإمام المعتمد

    Through his shaykh, his father, Haydar the lion,

    Ali, the master, the trusted imam,

  106. بالمرشد الأعظم خير الخلق

    وعلة الكون عظيم الخلق

    Through the greatest guide, the best of creation,

    And the cause of existence, sublime in character,

  107. من أطنب القرآن في مديحه

    فاعجز البليغ عن توضيحه

    He whose praise the Quran dwelt upon at length,

    Leaving the eloquent unable to explain it.

  108. صلى عليه في الختام

    وآله وصحبه الكرام

    May blessings be upon him at the close,

    And upon his family and his noble companions.
