الحمد لله راح الهم والحزن

الحمد لله راح الهم والحزن

وجاءني مستنيرا بدري الحسن

Praise be to God; care and sorrow have departed.

Praise be to God, sorrow and worry have gone

And my beautiful full moon came to me radiant.

And he came to me brightening my delight

حيا فكان الحيا احي الفؤادكما

حيا فكان الحيا احي الفؤادكما

بيمن طلعته قد طابت اليمن

بيمن طلعته قد طابت اليمن

Alive, he was rain that revived the heart, just as

He lived so he revived my heart

Through the blessing of his appearance, Yemen grew sweet.

As with his auspicious rising, the auspices became good

عن جده حسن آل الحسين له

عن جده حسن آل الحسين له

وراثة قد رواها خلقه الحسن

وراثة قد رواها خلقه الحسن

From his grandfather Hasan, of Husayn’s house, he has

From his grandfather Hasan, the family of Hussein

An inheritance that his fine character has recounted.

An inheritance which his beautiful nature inherited

The mount of al-Rifa‘i, the Imam, unveiled him upon

The pinnacle of glory, the Imam Ali

The dais of good fortune, a full moon whose nature is bounty.

Raised him to the platform of happiness like a full moon

فرع حبته الاصول الزهر مفخرة

فرع حبته الاصول الزهر مفخرة

بها تفاخر رغم الحاسد الزمن

بها تفاخر رغم الحاسد الزمن

A branch the radiant roots endowed with glory,

A branch whose roots are flowers, pride

Of which Time has boasted, despite the envious one.

With which time boasts despite the envious

قد صاد بالسيد الصياد منقبة ال

قد صاد بالسيد الصياد منقبة ال

خلاق بل فيه يجلى ذلك السنن

خلاق بل فيه يجلى ذلك السنن

Through Sayyid al-Sayyad, he has caught a distinction of the

He has hunted with his master, traits of

Creator; rather, in him that path is revealed.

Creation, indeed in him those traits are manifested

يا رب اتحفه اقبالا وعافية

يا رب اتحفه اقبالا وعافية

وامنحه نورا فلم تعبث به المحن

وامنحه نورا فلم تعبث به المحن

O Lord, bestow upon him prosperity and well-being,

O Lord, grant him success and well-being

And grant him light; afflictions have not toyed with him.

And give him light, for calamities have not touched him
