خلوت بها والناس في جلوة الضحى

أراهم ولا واش علي ولاح

Alone together as dawn’s light spreads

Caring not if others spy this time

فقلت لها زيحي النقاب وواصلي

فقالت نقلت الحسن غير مزاح

I bid lift your veil and let me gaze
