Sol 6.1

  1. يا نبياً على الأنبياء

    بمقام التعظيم والاصطفاء

    O prophet above the prophets,

    in the station of veneration and election.

  2. وسما وارتقى السما وتسامى

    قدره قفي مراتب العلياء

    He rose and ascended heaven, and ever loftier grew

    his rank [in] the stations of sublimity.

  3. فهو في هيئة الجلالة فرد

    في المعالي من مبدء الأشياء

    Thus, in the form of majesty, he is peerless

    in exalted qualities since the beginning of things.

  4. وهو في مظهر العناية نور

    غالب ضوءه على الأضواء

    And in the manifestation of providence he is a light

    whose radiance prevails over all lights.

  5. درة السر كنز كل المعاني

    أصلها من حقيقة الأسماء

    The pearl of mystery, the treasure of all meanings,

    whose source is the reality of the Names.

  6. جوهر الفخر نور عين البرايا

    منتهى شخصها من الابتداء

    The jewel of honor, the light of creation’s eye,

    the culmination of its embodied form from the beginning.

  7. معدن المجد روح جسم المعالي

    مظهر الحق من مدار الفناء

    The mine of glory, the soul of the body of exalted virtues,

    the manifestation of the Real from the sphere of annihilation.

  8. أصل سر الأشياء في كل سر

    بجلى المعنى وبالإخفاء

    The root of things’ mystery in every mystery,

    in the disclosure of meaning and in concealment.

  9. عين وجه المقصود من كل هذا

    سلم الذاهبين للاهتداء

    The very face of what is sought from all this,

    the ladder of those journeying toward guidance.

  10. مظهر المجد هيكل السعد مولى ال

    خلق من قبل خلق طين وماء

    Manifestation of glory, temple of felicity, master of

    creation, before the creation of clay and water.

  11. صولة اللَه في الوجود ومجلى

    نور عين الكمال في كل رائي

    God’s might in existence, and the mirror of

    the light of perfection’s eye in every beholder.

  12. هيبة الحق قر في كل قل

    شأنه فانجلى بسر علاء

    The awe of the Real—in every [heart] has settled

    his majesty, then shining forth through a secret of sublimity.

  13. سطوة الغيب دولة الرب حقا

    حكمة الأمر في اليد العلياء

    The might of the Unseen, the Lord’s dominion in truth,

    the wisdom of the command in the highest hand.

  14. سيد شرف الإله به الأر

    ض كما دار ذكره في السماء

    A master through whom God ennobled the

    earth, as his mention spread through heaven.

  15. طيب طابت البرية فيه

    طاب ذاتاً وطاب فيه ثنائي

    Pure, through whom creation became pure;

    pure in essence, and sweet is my praise of him.

  16. أول الأنبياء خلقاً وأبهى ال

    كل خلقاً وخيرهم لاقتداء

    The first of the prophets in creation, and the most splendid of

    all in character, and the best of them to emulate.

  17. جامع السر معدن البر والخي

    ر وكنز النوال للفقراء

    Gatherer of mystery, mine of righteousness and

    goodness, and treasury of bounty for the poor.

  18. سيد المرسلين غوث المنادى

    كعبة الاعتصام للضعفاء

    Master of the messengers, succor of those who call,

    the Kaaba of refuge for the weak.

  19. سيف قدس سطا بكل عدو

    وولى يحمي من الأعداء

    A sword of holiness that struck every enemy,

    and a guardian who shields against foes.

  20. باب لطف لكل من قرع البا

    ب بذل يجود بالإعطاء

    A gate of kindness for whoever knocks at the

    gate in humility; he is generous in giving.

  21. ترجمان الرحمن في كل شأن

    وتلجى قبوله للدعاء

    Interpreter of the All-Merciful in every affair,

    and his acceptance of supplication [shone forth].

  22. كاف كن قبل كون كل مكين

    نون كان الإمام للشفعاء

    The kāf of “Be!” before every established being came to be,

    the nūn of “was,” the leader of the intercessors;

  23. صاد صبح القبول من غير شك

    ميم معنى الوجود للأشياء

    the ṣād of the dawn of acceptance, without a doubt,

    the mīm of the meaning of existence for things.

  24. يا إمام الهدى ويا خير هاد

    وعمادي يوم اللقا وحمائي

    O imam of guidance, O best of guides,

    and my support on the Day of Meeting, and my protection.

  25. يا حبيب الديان يا نور عرش اللَ

    ه حقاً يا خاتم الأنبياء

    O beloved of the Judge, O light of the throne of

    God, truly, O seal of the prophets.

  26. يا ملاذ اللاجين يا ملجأ الرا

    جين جهراً يا حامي الضعفاء

    O refuge of those seeking shelter, O haven of the

    hopeful—aloud I cry: O protector of the weak!

  27. كن نصيري وموئلي ومعيني

    وعياذي في شدتي ورخائي

    Be my defender, my refuge, and my helper,

    and my shelter in hardship and ease.

  28. واكفني ما أراه من هم دهر

    واحمني من بلا خفى القضاء

    And spare me the grief of time that I behold,

    and guard me from the affliction of the hidden decree.

  29. وأثبني إخلاص قلب وصدق

    واشف يا عمدتي بفضلك دائي

    And reward me with sincerity of heart and truthfulness,

    and by your grace, O my support, heal my ailment.

  30. وأعني على زماني فإني

    لك دون الوجود صح التجائي

    And help me against my times, for indeed

    to you, rather than to the rest of creation, I truly turn for refuge.

  31. واكشف الكرب والمهمة واقبل

    يا سراج الورى بعطف رجائي

    And dispel anguish and distress, and accept—

    O lamp of humankind—my hopeful plea with tenderness.

  32. فعليك الصلاة في كل آن

    وزمان تجري بغير انقضاء

    So may blessings be upon you at every instant,

    and through all time, flowing without end;

  33. وعلى السادة الصحابة طرا

    وعلى الآل بعد أهل العباء

    and upon all the noble Companions,

    and then upon the Family, the People of the Cloak,

  34. وعلى التابعين في كل وقت

    وعلى الصالحين والأولياء

    and upon the Followers at every time,

    and upon the righteous and the saints,

  35. ما أتاك العبد الضعيف ينادي

    يا نبياً علا على الأنبياء

    as long as the weak servant comes to you, calling:

    O prophet who rose above the prophets!
