وعروس عزى ما أزيح نقلبها

I have an aspiration whose mounts have struck al-Simāk.

I have the ambition to knock on the sky's doors

And the bride of my glory—her veil [uncertain reading] has not been lifted.

And a bride of glory whose veil won't be removed

إن أزمة عظمت وجل مصاحبها

إن أزمة عظمت وجل مصاحبها

وإذا الكلاب تلاوحت أذنابها

وإذا الكلاب تلاوحت أذنابها

If a crisis grows grave and its companion trembles,

If crisis grows strong and dire is its escort

And when the dogs' tails wave to and fro,

And if the dogs begin to wag their tails

فأنا أبوك وللسباع حساب

فأنا أبوك وللسباع حساب

أعداؤنا غروا بنا فتعاظموا

أعداؤنا غروا بنا فتعاظموا

Then I am your father, and for the beasts of prey there is a reckoning.

Then I'm your father and the beasts have a reckoning

Our enemies were deluded about us and grew haughty.

Our enemies deceived us and became great

وتالنوا في ذمنا وتكاتموا

وتالنوا في ذمنا وتكاتموا

وبغوا علينا عدوة وتراكموا

وبغوا علينا عدوة وتراكموا

And they [unclear verb] in disparaging us, and kept things secret.

They maligned us and conspired in secret

And they transgressed against us in hostility and massed together.

They sought enmity with us and accumulated

مهما تكاثر جيشهم وتهاجموا

مهما تكاثر جيشهم وتهاجموا

فهمو ذباب والذباب ذباب

فهمو ذباب والذباب ذباب

However numerous their army grows, and however they attack,

No matter how large their army and its attacks

They are flies, and flies are flies.

They're just flies and flies are but flies

سر العناية للقيام بحزبنا

سر العناية للقيام بحزبنا

والنصر موهبة لنا من ربنا

والنصر موهبة لنا من ربنا

The secret of providence is to uphold our band.

The secret of providence is to stand by our party

And victory is a gift to us from our Lord.

And victory is a gift to us from our Lord

لا تخش تهلكة وكن من ركبنا

لا تخش تهلكة وكن من ركبنا

فبناء أصحاب التقى فوق البنا

فبناء أصحاب التقى فوق البنا

Do not fear destruction, and join our caravan.

Do not fear annihilation and join our company

For the edifice of the pious rises above other edifices,

For the building of the pious is over the building

وبناء أصحاب الضلال خراب

وبناء أصحاب الضلال خراب

And the edifice of the misguided lies in ruins.

And the building of the strayers is ruin
