For you, O Ali of the saints,

You, O Ali, are the foremost

is a lofty ascent among the people.

Of all people, loftiest in station,

ولدي الصحابة مظهر

ولدي الصحابة مظهر

كالكوكب الأعلى الجلي

كالكوكب الأعلى الجلي

And among the Companions, a manifestation

Among the Prophet's companions, most manifest

like the highest, radiant star.

Like the highest, most luminous star.

ي وفي الورى نعم الولي

ي وفي الورى نعم الولي

The gate of the Hashemite Prophet,

You are the Prophet's Hashimite gate

and among humankind, what an excellent guardian!

In whom the best guardianship resides

والعلم المشهور بال

والعلم المشهور بال

قول الصحيح الأجمل

قول الصحيح الأجمل

And the luminary famed for the

Your knowledge, famed for its perfection,

true, most beautiful saying.

Utters the soundest, most beautiful words

وبذاك قد شهد الرسو

وبذاك قد شهد الرسو

And to that the Messenger indeed bore witness,

Thus did the Prophet bear witness for you

and said, 'The best judge among you is Ali.'

And said, “You are the justest judge among them."
