ورب قبيح قد تجاوز حده

ورب قبيح قد تجاوز حده

بخلق عيوب للكرام وقد طغى

بخلق عيوب للكرام وقد طغى

And many a vile man has overstepped his bounds,

By God, the ugly one had crossed the line

By inventing faults in the noble—and indeed has acted tyrannically.

Inventing flaws about the noble, though he was arrogant

فاهلكه الباري ومزق شمله

فاهلكه الباري ومزق شمله

وقيل يدك الطود في الأرض ان بغى

وقيل يدك الطود في الأرض ان بغى

So the Creator destroyed him and tore his company apart;

So the Creator destroyed him and scattered his group

And it was said: the towering mountain is crushed into the earth if it transgresses.

It was said: Your hand supports right on earth if transgressed
