A garden—its gold has glittered,
A garden has been adorned with beauty
And its chrysolite has made the blossoms bow.
With flowers of emerald and ruby

And an expanse whose silver gleams,
A space shimmers with its silver
And whose emerald enchants the eye.

A gazelle—how deadly is his gaze!
Rime did not avert her gaze
How often his Indian blade has cleft the heart!
She has captivated many a heart

She brought my heart to life with her promise
So the sun, by my life, envies him.

How often you draw him near for torment,
You set him free in the yard of your abandonment
Yet keep him far from closeness!

And with the fetter of longing you bind him.

This estrangement has made your bondman wretched;
Your palm, Rime, has killed, so this
When will you gladden him through union with you?
