نفحةa breath الغيبthe unseen حرزناour safeguard
نفحة الغيب حرزنا
وبهاand through it صحwas confirmed رمزناour sign
وبها صح رمزنا
A breath from the unseen is our safeguard.
And through it our sign is confirmed.
شدةhardship لاdoes not تهزناshake us
شدة لا تهزنا
نحنwe باللهthrough God عزناour honor
نحن بالله عزنا
Hardship does not shake us.
We draw our honor from God,
لاnot بجاهthrough prestige ومنصبand position
لا بجاه ومنصب
ربناour Lord قدindeed اجلناhas honored us
ربنا قد اجلنا
Not from prestige or position.
Our Lord has indeed honored us,
وبأمنand in safety احلناsettled us
وبأمن احلنا
صاحO friend اعظمhas exalted محلناour station
صاح اعظم محلنا
And settled us in safety.
O friend, he has exalted our station.
كلall منwho رامseeks ذلناour humiliation
كل من رام ذلنا
خصمهhis adversary اللهGod والنبيand the Prophet
خصمه الله والنبي
Whoever seeks our humiliation—
God and the Prophet are his adversaries.
