اليوم طبق افق الدولة النورُ

واوضحت فلق الملك التباشيرُ

Today light has covered the realm’s horizon,

Today the state's horizon is filled with light

and glad tidings have illuminated the dawn of kingship.

And the signs of the kingdom have become clear

فكل عين إليك اليوم طامحة

فكل عين إليك اليوم طامحة

وكل قلب بما خولت مسرور

وكل قلب بما خولت مسرور

So every eye looks eagerly up toward you today,

So every eye today looks to you with ambition

and every heart rejoices at what you have been granted.

And every heart is delighted with what you have been endowed

اقبلت في خلع السلطان زينها

اقبلت في خلع السلطان زينها

ذيل على انجم الزهراء مجرور

ذيل على انجم الزهراء مجرور

You came in the sultan’s robes of honor, adorned by

You have assumed the adornment of the sultanate

a train trailing over the stars of al-Zahra.

Its train dragged over the stars of Zahra

كأنما نسجتها في الرياض بدا

كأنما نسجتها في الرياض بدا

غيث فرونقها بالحسن مغمور

غيث فرونقها بالحسن مغمور

As though you had woven them in the gardens, there appeared

As though it was woven in the gardens when

rain, and so their splendor is suffused with beauty.

Its splendor was drowned by beauty

ورحت فوق جواد كالعقاب جرى

ورحت فوق جواد كالعقاب جرى

والجود في سرجه والمجد والخير

والجود في سرجه والمجد والخير

And you went forth upon a steed that sped like an eagle,

And you went on a steed running like an eagle

and in its saddle were generosity, glory, and goodness.

With generosity in its saddle, and glory and good
