O bridge of al-Nawbandajān and its monastery,
And oryx-like, wide-eyed beauties—the beauties haunt no other place.
شربناwe drank بهاin it والروضand the garden يخلعcasts off زهرهits blossoms
شربنا بها والروض يخلع زهره
علىupon الشربthe drinkers والاشجارand the trees تنثرscatter طيرهاtheir birds
على الشرب والاشجار تنثر طيرها
We drank there as the garden cast off its blossoms
Upon the drinkers, while the trees scattered their birds.
