يكشفُ النورَ المبينا

The herald of Truth arose among us,

The caller of Truth arose among us,

unveiling the manifest light.

Revealing the manifest light.

وانجلى حينا فحينا

وانجلى حينا فحينا

فامتلى القلبُ يقينا

فامتلى القلبُ يقينا

And it shone forth, time after time,

And it shone forth, time after time,

so the heart brimmed with certainty.

So the heart filled with certainty.

يَا رَفيقي يَا رفِيقي

يَا رَفيقي يَا رفِيقي

إِنَّه السرُ الحقيقي

إِنَّه السرُ الحقيقي

O my companion, O my companion,

O my companion, O my companion,

indeed, it is the true mystery.

Indeed, it is the true secret.

لا تعرجْ عن طريقي

لا تعرجْ عن طريقي

وخذِ الدرب يمينا

وخذِ الدرب يمينا

Do not turn aside from my path;

Do not stray from my path,

take the road to the right.

And take the road to the right.

سكرتي مِنْ خمرِ ذاتي

سكرتي مِنْ خمرِ ذاتي

وأنا في خَلَواتي

وأنا في خَلَواتي

I grew drunk on the wine of my own essence,

My intoxication comes from the wine of my essence,

while I was in my solitary retreats;

While I am in my solitary retreats.

واقتضى موتي حياتي

واقتضى موتي حياتي

في مقامِ العارفينا

في مقامِ العارفينا

and my death entailed my life

And my death entailed my life,

in the station of the gnostics.

In the station of the knowers.

وصلاتي وسلامي

وصلاتي وسلامي

لعظيم القدر سامي

لعظيم القدر سامي

And my prayers and greetings of peace

And my blessings and salutations

to one of mighty rank, exalted.

Upon the exalted one of mighty rank.

يا غني عبدك شامي

يا غني عبدك شامي

كن له أنت معينا

كن له أنت معينا

O Self-Sufficient One, Your servant Shāmī—

O Self-Sufficient One, your servant is of the Levant;

You Yourself, be his helper.
