طيبوا المنازل — Abu Al Hasan Al Shushta… — Saqi

طَيْبُوا المنازلْ
بذكر الحبيبْ
Make the dwellings fragrant
with remembrance of the Beloved.
واعمروا المحافلْ
بالمقربينْ
And fill the gatherings
with those brought near.
وابعثوا الرواحلْ
مِنَ المَغْربينْ
And send forth the riding camels
from the two wests.
واحملوا الرسايلْ
إِلى الطيبينْ
And carry the letters
to the pure ones.
مطلعُ الكمالِ
محمدٌ خيرُ العالمينْ
The dawn of perfection:
Muhammad, the best of all beings;
درةُ الجمالِ
قطبُ المرسلينْ
the pearl of beauty,
the pole of the messengers.
سيدي حبيبي
شمسُ الورى
My master, my beloved,
sun of all creation,
أنتَ في قليبي
تعلمْ وترى
you are in my little heart;
you know and see.
حبك نصيبي
فسئلْ مخبرا
Your love is my allotted share;
so ask one who can tell
عَن فتى غريبي
يهدوا سَحَرَا
about a young stranger of mine.
They guide before dawn.
مطلعُ الكمالِ
محمدٌ خيرُ العالمين
The dawn of perfection:
Muhammad, the best of all beings;
درةُ الجِمالِ
قطبُ المرسلينْ
the pearl of the camels,
the pole of the messengers.
ساحلي لازمْ
ذكرَ المصطفى
Coastal one, hold fast to
remembrance of the Chosen One.
لذا به ونادمْ
أربابَ الوفي
Seek refuge in him, and keep company with
the masters of fidelity;
تنال المكارمْ
ومحضرْ صفي
you will attain noble qualities
and a pure gathering.
مطلعُ الكمالِ
محمدٌ خيرُ العالمين

درةُ الجمالِ
قطبُ المرسلين
the pearl of beauty,
the pole of the messengers.
والذي حباكْ
بالجاه العظيمْ
By Him who endowed you
with great standing,
واصطفى علاكْ
بالرفع القديمْ
and chose your eminence
with ancient exaltation:
ما خلا هواكْ
في القلب السليمْ
nothing but love for you
is in the sound heart.
نبتغي رضاكْ
وأنتَ الرحيمْ
We seek your approval,
and you are the merciful one.
