كما تثنى غصن ريحانه
A breeze blew upon her and made her sway,
As a sprig of sweet basil bends.
فتيمتso she enthralled قلبيmy heart وهاجتand stirred up لهfor it
فتيمت قلبي وهاجت له
أحزانهits sorrows قدماof old وأشجانهand its griefs
أحزانه قدما وأشجانه
So she enthralled my heart and stirred within it
Its sorrows of old and its griefs.
